The part-time year round International Student Program Coordinator plays a vital role in sharing the school’s mission with students around the world. This position supports our international and domestic students by fostering cultural understanding, organizing robust student experiences, and maintaining program excellence with administrative and legal integrity. This position is relational at its core and mission-driven by design, working in partnership with families, agencies, and the King’s Way community.
Responsibilities:
- Coordinate international student care and well-being assisting with orientations, workshops, student reports, and regular check-ins.
- Assist in planning and organizing, and help lead international student events and cultural activities (e.g., field trips, birthday celebrations, monthly student lunches, etc.).
- Organize student files, and help track student application process and required documentation.
- Support short-term programs including immersion, academic, and summer offerings; coordinate logistics, support the tutoring & buddy programs, and cultural components of various programs.
- Assist with general program communications, invitations, updates, correspondence, marketing.
- Help support host families, with orientations, scheduling, communication and expectations / protocols.
- Coordinate the tutoring and student buddy programs: schedule sessions, onboard tutors, and build community through paired student engagement.
- Assist in English language acquisition through non-credit ESL classes.
- Build and maintain strong community-based relationships with stakeholders including students, families, staff, agencies, and partners both locally and internationally.
Position Details:
This is a part-time, 20 hours / week, hourly non-exempt position with a year-round schedule. The range for this position is $18.70 - $21.16 depending upon skills and experience.
Some evenings and weekends may be required in support of student arrival/departure, host family visits, events, or international travel. Hours may vary depending upon program participation and enrollment.

Required Education, Experience, and Skills:
- Associate's degree.
- Demonstrated cultural competency and ability to connect cross-culturally with international students and families.
- Strong administrative and organizational skills; able to manage multiple programs, timelines, and data systems simultaneously.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to build rapport with diverse stakeholders.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office, Google Suite, and digital communication platforms.
- A self-starter with the ability to plan and lead events, projects, and ongoing responsibilities independently.
- Strong attention to detail, particularly with compliance-related tasks such as visa documentation.
- Ability and willingness to work occasional evenings/weekends.
- The candidate selected for this position will be required to pass a pre-employment background check.
Preferred Education, Experience, and Skills:
- Experience working with international students in an educational setting.
- Bilingual or multilingual proficiency preferred.
- Knowledge of global education systems and student support structures.
