The Membership and Marketing Coordinator coordinates the membership process to expand and engage the membership base while improving communication efforts. Candidate Qualifications
Membership Duties and Responsibilities:
- Ensure consistent adherence to established procedures for processing prospective member applications from start to finish.
- Coordinate the administrative processing of member applications and generate all relevant membership reports.
- Assure prospective members meet all application requirements.
- Coordinate golf playing experience with appropriate members and staff.
- Process all membership requests and transfers.
- Conduct onboarding orientation programs and tours for prospective candidates and new members.
- Plan and implement events for new members for successful onboarding.
- Implement, manage, and monitor member retention strategies.
- Assess the need for and make recommendations regarding member retention and recruitment to ensure alignment with the evolving market needs.
- Follow up on member referrals.
- Organize the creation of membership information kits.
- Maintain a file of club history, including exit interviews.
- Assist the Outside Operations Manager with Cottage reservations and administration.
Communication Duties and Responsibilities:
- Oversee the production of the electronic bi-weekly newsletter, which includes content collection, prioritizing and formatting, editing, and design for electronic distribution.
- Provide feedback to the general manager on membership pricing, categories, recruitment efforts, sales, and waitlist activity.
- Prepare and coordinate the monthly Membership update for the Board of Directors.
- Promote club activities and events in a way that actively engages our members.
- Respond effectively to member comments regarding club standards, policies, and rules; continuously use feedback and suggestions to enhance member services.
- Report all approved new members to Accounting and other relevant managers/staff to ensure proper membership administration. Verify that applications are filled out correctly and that initiation and transfer fees are collected.
- Oversee internal communications (bulletin boards, digital signage) and external communications (mobile app, website, social media), ensuring compliance with club standards and guidelines across all platforms.
- Assist in the development and management of the club's marketing plan.
- Be present during club operating hours and events to greet members and guests.
- Assist the Controller with office tasks during downtime.
- Complete any other appropriate assignments as directed by the General Manager.
Educational Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Communications, Marketing, Public Relations, Hospitality, or a related field.
- Strong organizational skills, attention to detail, project management skills, and the ability to handle multiple tasks simultaneously.
- Exceptional written and verbal communication skills with the ability to communicate effectively across various member segments.
- Ability to solve practical problems and deal with various variable situations with limited standardization.
- High professionalism, discretion, and ability to handle confidential information.
- Proficient in MS Office Suite, Jonas, and website/content management systems (CMS); experience with email marketing tools (e.g., Jonas software) is a plus.
- Prefer Hospitality/Private Club experience.
- Must be flexible to work all shifts - days, evenings, weekends, and holidays. Shifts may vary based on business needs.
Date Position Available April 1, 2025
Salary Range: $60,000.00 to $70,000.00 performance bonus based on new members and retention.
