SUMMARY OF POSITION
Be introduced to multiple skilled carpentry and concrete construction positions and learn how to construct various building components through hands-on learning and completing classroom instructions. The Carpentry Development Program offers candidates the skills that are required to become a craftsperson in the construction industry.
The Carpentry Development Program has limited openings.
TYPICAL RESPONSIBILITIES/ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
- Use various hand and power tools.
- Attend classroom and hands-on trainings.
- Operates power tools and equipment in compliance with Kinsley’s safety policies and procedures.
- Performs other related duties and responsibilities as assigned.
REQUIREMENTS
- Previous experience/exposure in carpentry or concrete is preferred.
- Must be 18 years or older
- Must have a high school diploma or GED
- Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation
- Ability to pass DOT pre-employment physical and drug/alcohol screening
- Must be capable of receiving and following instructions
- Ability to communicate and build professional relationships with co-workers and upper management
- Must have a positive attitude and a willingness to learn
- Punctuality and dependability are required
