Kinsley Steel Inc. is seeking a skilled and motivated CNC Operator to join our team in Richmond VA. This position is a 2nd Shift position and will be responsible for operating and programming our Peddinghaus Angle Master, ensuring precision and quality in every cut while maintaining safety and efficiency.
Key Responsibilities
- Operate and program the Peddinghaus Angle Master to cut, punch, and mark steel materials according to specifications.
- Safely operate overhead cranes and forklifts for material handling.
- Accurately read and interpret parts drawings and tape measurements down to 1/16th of an inch.
- Document material cut lists and job details in EPMgo.
- Conduct machine setups, adjustments, and basic maintenance as needed.
- Lift up to 100 pounds occasionally in a safe manner.
- Collaborate with team members to ensure smooth workflow and timely completion of production goals.
- Maintain a clean and organized workspace, adhering to all safety and quality standards.
- Be willing to crosstrain on other machines and operate them as needed
- Be willing to perform other tasks across the operation as needed and requested by Shop Management
Qualifications
- Prior experience operating CNC machinery, preferably Peddinghaus equipment.
- Proficiency in using overhead cranes and forklifts; certification is a plus.
- Strong mechanical aptitude and ability to troubleshoot basic machine issues.
- Familiarity with reading and interpreting blueprints and part drawings.
- Experience documenting material cut lists in software systems like EPMgo or similar platforms.
- Commitment to working overtime when needed to meet production schedules.
- Physical ability to lift and move materials weighing up to 100 pounds occasionally.
- High school diploma or equivalent; technical training is a plus.
