Position Overview:
Our client is seeking a skilled CNC Machinist to join their team. The CNC Machinist will be responsible for setting up, operating, and maintaining CNC machines to produce precision metal components and equipment. This role requires expertise in CNC machining processes, programming, and the ability to interpret technical drawings and specifications.
Responsibilities:
- Set up and operate CNC machines, such as mills and lathes, to produce precision metal components according to technical drawings and specifications.
- Select and install appropriate cutting tools, fixtures, and work holding devices for machining operations.
- Program CNC machines using CAM software or manual programming techniques.
- Monitor machine operations and make necessary adjustments to ensure quality and accuracy of machined parts.
- Perform routine maintenance on CNC machines to ensure optimal performance and minimize downtime.
- Inspect finished parts using precision measurement tools and equipment to verify conformance to specifications.
- Troubleshoot machining issues and implement corrective actions to maintain production efficiency.
- Adhere to safety protocols and procedures to prevent accidents and injuries.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Proven experience as a CNC Machinist or similar role in a manufacturing environment.
- Proficiency in CNC machining processes, including setup, operation, and programming.
- Experience with CAM software for CNC programming, such as Mastercam or Siemens NX.
- Ability to interpret technical drawings, blueprints, and geometric tolerances.
- Strong mathematical skills for calculating dimensions, tolerances, and speeds/feed rates.
- Knowledge of cutting tool selection, toolpath optimization, and machining parameters.
- Familiarity with quality assurance processes and procedures.
Physical Requirements:
- Ability to lift and move heavy objects up to 50 pounds.
- Stamina to stand, bend, and lift for extended periods during machine setup and operation.
- Visual acuity and attention to detail for inspecting machined parts.

Pay: $50,000.00 - $60,000.00 per year
