Overview Perform all aspects of Barge Fleet maintenance. Responsibilities
Line Handling
Coordinates Fleet / Facility Services
General Upkeep of Fleet / Facility Grounds
Purchases Supplies for Day-to-Day Operations
Completes Projects Assigned by management.
Maintains inventory of emergency supplies
Maintains Inventory / Readiness of Hurricane Response Equipment
Coordinates Daily Management of Waste Facilities (Trash, Oil, etc...)
Ability to occasionally be available to work weekends.
Perform some carpentry work.
Operate small equipment i.e.
lawn equipment, tractor, ATV)
Miscellaneous Jobs
Prepare and maintain barge mooring equipment. Qualifications
Current and valid driver license with good driving record
TWIC Card
Must Be Capable of Occasional Heavy Lifting / Lift and Carry 50 lbs.
General knowledge of computer for basic tasks.
Light carpentry skills
Some deckhand / marine industry experience (Preferred)
Knowledge of general construction / repairs
Welding experience for small repairs (Preferred) Education / Experience : High school diploma or GED. Mechanical and construction preferred but not required. Working Conditions : Hours are 6 : 00am to 4 : 00pm Monday through Friday. Must be able to adapt to a changing work schedules and weather conditions and not afraid of working around water.
