What are the responsibilities and job description for the Front Desk Receptionist position at Kirkwood Village (Watts Group, Inc.)?
This position is at our Kirkwood Village Apartments for student housing.
Overall responsibilities include creating a remarkable experience for staff and guests including in-person greetings, handling telephone calls, and administrative support. Interactions should be positive and memorable, thus creating an extraordinary experience for everyone assisted by this position. This position supports the team buy assisting in the showing and leasing activities.
Key Responsibilities & Essential Functions:
- Maintenance of front reception area to ensure a clean and professional areas.
- Answering calls incoming to the main number, answering routine questions, taking messages and/or routing calls to the proper individual.
- Greeting visitors, answering routine questions, making visitors feel comfortable as needed.
- Shows the model unit to students and their families. Assists with leasing process as needed.
- Supports mail distribution by opening, sorting, and distributing daily mail.
- Performs a broad variety of administrative tasks including, but not limited to: editing, proof-reading, document preparation and formatting, keeping and maintaining files, and data entry.
- Maintain orderliness of office environment including, cleanliness of office, inventory levels of consumables in breakroom, loading of copier paper, and other administrative support as requested.
- Maintains office inventory of supplies and coordinates ordering as needed.
- Decorates the office for holidays as needed.
- This position is expected to present a professional, businesslike image to clients, visitors, customers and the public. Acceptable personal appearance is an ongoing requirement of employment.
- Performs other duties as assigned.
Job Requirements/Specifications:
- 2 years of receptionist or customer service experience, 1 year telephone experience preferred
- Proven excellent communication skills
- Ability to create and maintain positive relationships with internally and externally
- Strong time management skills and ability to multi-task and balance conflicting priorities
- Ability to set up systems and remain organized
- Demonstrated ability to handle confidential information appropriately
- Proficient with MS Office (Word, Excel, Outlook)
Job Type: Part-time
Pay: $15.00 - $17.00 per hour
Expected hours: 20 – 25 per week
