Kitchen Magic, a family owned and operated business since 1979 and a leader in Kitchen Remodeling is seeking a Human Resources Manager to join their team.
The ideal candidate has a bachelor’s degree (preferably in Human Resources), 5-7 yrs. of human resources experience with specific expertise in state and federal employment laws, employee relations, LOA management, benefits administration, performance management and compliance filings.
To be successful in this role you must be confident, able to build relationships quickly, be solutions-oriented and comfortable being the primary point of contact for all things HR. This role will have one direct report.
***Will consider candidates without a bachelor’s degree if they have a Human Resources certification (SHRM, HRCI or similar).

Human Resources Manager responsibilities:
- Handle employee inquiries/concerns and conducts workplace investigations as needed.
- Coach managers on disciplinary and termination procedures.
- Maintain compliance with state, federal and local employment laws, and regulations. Conducts audits and reviews policies and practices to maintain compliance.
- Oversee and perform tasks associated with benefits enrollment, workers compensation management, leave, and payroll.
- Maintain knowledge of trends, best practices, regulatory changes, new technologies and employment laws.
- Review and validate payroll.
- Ad hoc reporting from HRIS as needed.
Human Resources Manager Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree (Will consider candidates without a bachelor’s degree if they have a Human Resources certification-SHRM, HRCI or similar.)
- 5-7 yrs. Human Resources Manager experience
- 3-5 yrs. employee relations experience
- Knowledge of federal and state employment laws
- Benefits management, payroll and workers compensation experience
- 3 yrs. HR software experience
- Recruiting experience, a plus
