Responsibilities
We’re looking for a team-oriented and passionate individual to join our growing Purchasing team. As a Purchasing Specialist, you will help grow and maintain Kitchen Magic’s Purchasing Department. Tasks include but not limited to:
· Comparing sales contracts to blueprints submitted by draftsman to assure proper items/parts/materials are requested to fulfill the kitchen remodeling project.
· Order parts/items/materials from both outside vendors and internal manufacturing.
· Review and verify all vendor quotes on materials ordered to assure accurate costs.
· Reach out to vendors to rectify as needed.
· Creating material requirements for bathroom projects from sales contracts and bath images
· Ensure timely receiving of materials for projects and inventory needs with vendor follow up
· Using ERP system to run reports for overdue items, inventory needs,
· Create/Maintain current/new/discontinued items in ERP system for product changes/pricing
· Assist with research to find alternative sourcing for product due to backorders
· Resolve any errors in materials receipt and replacement of damaged or missing parts/items.
Requirements
· High School Diploma or equivalent experience.
· 1-2 years office environment experience.
· Purchasing experience desired.
· Understanding of the kitchen remodeling industry is a plus.
· A general understanding of basic purchasing and receiving practice.
· Inventory Maintenance/Stock Procurement knowledge preferred
· Basic computer skills. Ability to learn and work with a variety of software systems.
· Accuracy in data entry
· Good math skills.
· Excellent organizational skills
· Great communication skills – with vendors, customers and internal employees.
· High attention to detail
· Good problem-solving abilities.
· Time management skills in prioritizing workflow.
· Must be authorized to work in the United States for any employer.
