Job Summary:
We’re on the hunt for an E-commerce Analyst who thrives on turning data into actionable insights. This exciting new role will be responsible for analyzing marketing campaign data, customer behavior, and market trends to identify key insights, inform strategic marketing decisions, and optimize campaign performance to maximize return on investment (ROI) for our growth marketing investments. Here, you’ll play a pivotal role in shaping Kizik’s site experience and digital marketing strategy by uncovering growth opportunities through data-driven analysis.
What You'll Do:
- Develop and refine comprehensive performance reports and dashboards that highlight key performance metrics, trends, and actionable insights for the ecommerce and performance marketing teams
- Monitor and track marketing campaign performance against established goals, identifying areas for improvement and scale
- Ensure accurate and reliable data collection to support media mix modeling, enabling data-driven decisions that optimize new customer acquisition and improve marketing spend efficiency
- Analyze the sales impact of product launches, promotions and marketing initiatives to inform optimal inventory position, pricing/discounting strategies, and marketing spend
- Partner with the team on the design and implementation of A/B and multi-variate tests. Develop test plans, define a hypothesis and relevant success metrics, analyze and transform raw data into actionable insights, project revenue and CVR impact based on test outcomes, and distribute test results to key stakeholders
- Leverage site data to draw insights, develop hypotheses, and proactively recommend testing opportunities into the conversion rate optimization [CRO] backlog. Help groom and prioritize the backlog via estimations of potential impact on identified KPIs
- Analyze customer data to identify patterns, predict customer behavior, and develop customer segmentation strategies to advance customer engagement, retention and lifetime value
- Develop customer lifetime value (CLTV) models to understand customer profitability and optimize marketing spend allocation
- Conduct ad-hoc reporting on market and competitor performance, as needed
- Present findings and recommendations to stakeholders in a clear and compelling way
What You’ll Need:
- 5-10 years of experience in marketing analytics, data science, or a related field, with a strong focus on e-commerce
- Excel wizard with advanced skills in data manipulation, modeling, and automation.
- Deep expertise in Shopify and GA4, with the ability to extract, analyze, and interpret key performance data
- Strong analytical mindset, with experience in marketing performance metrics, forecasting models, and data visualization tools
- Proven ability to build and optimize dashboards in Looker and Power BI (bonus points if you’ve built executive-level reporting!)
- Hands-on experience with data connectors (Supermetrics, Dataslayer, Zapier), MMM (Media Mix Modeling), MTA (Multi-Touch Attribution), and Incrementality testing tools (Northbeam, Recast, Haus)
- Skilled at translating complex data into clear, actionable insights that drive business impact
