Job Summary:
The VP of E-Commerce will be responsible for the vision, strategy, and execution of all aspects of our e-commerce business, including Amazon and marketplaces. This role oversees strategy, site experience, product and merchandising, acquisition marketing, and CRM, ensuring a seamless and compelling customer journey that maximizes revenue, engagement, and brand loyalty. Accountable for managing the e-commerce P&L, the ideal candidate is a data-driven leader with a strong track record of scaling e-commerce businesses, optimizing digital experiences, and driving customer acquisition and retention.
Key Responsibilities:
Strategy & Leadership:
- Develop and execute the strategy for the e-commerce business, including sales forecasting, budgeting, and goal setting to achieve business objectives, driving sustainable and profitable growth for the e-commerce P&L
- Lead, inspire, and develop a high-performing team, fostering a culture of collaboration and innovation
- Partner with operations and product teams to create the best assortment for our online customers and work alongside VP of wholesale to segment and develop Kizik’s position in an omni-channel marketplace
- Manage our presence on marketplaces with a deep focus on Amazon, deploying advanced analytics and marketing strategies to optimize and drive growth
- Define and track key performance metrics to enhance site performance, user behavior, and customer engagement, driving a routine cadence of reporting to share actionable insights
- Champion customer insights and constantly monitor the competitive landscape and market conditions to identify opportunities and new strategies
- Lead agency and vendor relationships, sourcing partners, managing relationships and continuously assessing capabilities
Site Experience & Product Management:
- Own the customer journey and ensure a seamless, engaging, and high-converting site experience across all digital touchpoints
- Lead the team to deliver a fully integrated site merchandising, promotion, and content plan and calendar
- Manage and collaborate with CRO / UX partners to test and optimize site design, performance, and functionality, procuring needed tools and resources
- Oversee merchandising strategy, including assortment planning, forecasting, and site merchandising.
Acquisition Marketing:
- Lead customer acquisition and media strategy across paid media, SEO, affiliates, and other digital marketing channels and tactics
- Develop and refine strategic marketing plan across relevant media touchpoints, converting vision into actionable, measurable plans with clear goals, strategies, tactics, targeting, testing plans and measurement
- Optimize spend and ROAS through brand accretive, performance-driven strategies and advanced measurement tactics
- Partner with brand marketing and creative teams to ensure cohesive storytelling and brief best-in-class content and messaging across all channels
CRM & Retention:
- Develop and oversee CRM strategy, driving customer segmentation, lifecycle marketing, and personalization efforts
- Oversee loyalty and retention initiatives to maximize customer LTV and repeat purchase rates
- Leverage data and insights and implement testing frameworks to refine customer journeys, enhance customer engagement and drive conversion
Qualifications:
- 15 years of e-commerce and digital marketing leadership experience and at least 5 years of experience leading high-performing ecommerce experience teams in a retail driven environment
- Proven track record of scaling an e-commerce business and delivering revenue growth
- Creative, innovative thinker, able to apply structure and analytical rigor to complex problems, drawing actionable insights and translating them into a vision, strategy, and action plan
- Self-motivated and solutions-oriented with the ability to juggle multiple projects and communicate clearly to team members
- Highly entrepreneurial with a passion for staying ahead of industry trends, emerging technologies, and competitive insights to drive continuous innovation
- Ability to balance strong brand judgment and intuition with deep analytics to drive performance marketing results
- Exceptional leadership, collaboration, and communication skills, with the ability to present complex ideas in a clear, concise manner for diverse audiences
- Power user of website analytics, e-commerce platforms (Shopify) and marketing measurement tools
- Passion for building strong brands with a consumer focus
