PRIMARY PURPOSE AND FUNCTION
Prepares cost estimates by analyzing proposals and requirements. Manage projects from Customer PO to delivery.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS AND RESPONSIBILITIES
- Prepares work to be estimated by gathering proposals, blueprints, specifications, and related documents. Identifies labor, material, and time requirements by studying proposals, blueprints, specifications, and related documents.
- Work with Purchasing to procure materials. Coordinate and manage timelines and deliverables.
- Work directly with the customer in the planning, procurement and estimation of their project. Identifies labor, material, and time requirements by studying proposals, blueprints, specifications and related documents.
- Resolves discrepancies by collecting and analyzing information. Presents prepared estimate by assembling and displaying numerical and descriptive information.
- Prepares special reports by collecting, analyzing, and summarizing information and trends. Maintains bid data base by entering and backing up data. Obtains bids from vendors and subcontractors by specifying materials; identifying qualified subcontractors; negotiating price.
- Maintains cost keys and price masters by updating information.
- Maintains quality service by following organization standards.
- Contributes to team effort by accomplishing related results as needed.
SKILLS
- Knowledge in Autodesk Products/SDS2/Inventor Microsoft Excel, Access and WordRead and interpret structural steel blueprints.
