Business Manager - Janitorial Cleaning Company - Maui

Position Overview:
We are seeking a reliable and detail-oriented Business Manager to support our janitorial company located in Maui. The Business Manager will play a key role in overseeing the daily operations of our office, coordinating administrative tasks, managing supplies, and ensuring the smooth functioning of our janitorial operations. This position requires strong organizational skills, excellent communication abilities, and a proactive approach to problem-solving. The ideal candidate will have prior experience in business administration in the janitorial or cleaning industry.

Responsibilities:


Administrative Support: Provide administrative support to ensure efficient operation of the office. This includes managing schedules, arranging meetings, handling correspondence, and maintaining office supplies.

Financial Management: Oversee financial activities such as budgeting, invoicing, and expense tracking. Coordinate with accounting and finance teams to ensure accurate record-keeping and financial reporting.

Human Resources Management: Assist in the recruitment process by posting job openings, screening resumes, and scheduling interviews. Manage employee records, including timesheets, benefits administration, and performance evaluations.

Facility Management: Supervise office maintenance and ensure a clean, safe, and productive work environment. Coordinate with vendors for repairs, renovations, and other facility-related services.

Project Management: Coordinate and support various projects within the office, including organizing events, implementing new systems or processes, and managing timelines and deliverables.

Communication Liaison: Serve as a liaison between different departments and external stakeholders, facilitating communication and collaboration to achieve organizational goals.

Policy Implementation: Ensure compliance with company policies and procedures, as well as relevant laws and regulations. Develop and implement office policies to promote efficiency and compliance.

Leadership and Supervision: Supervise administrative staff and provide leadership, guidance, and support to ensure their professional development and performance excellence.

Requirements:
  • High school diploma or equivalent; college degree in business administration or a related field is preferred.
  • Minimum of 2 years previous experience in business administration in the janitorial or cleaning industry.
  • Excellent organizational and time management skills, with a keen attention to detail.
  • Strong written and verbal communication abilities, including professional phone etiquette.
  • Proficiency in using Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint) and other office management software.
  • Ability to prioritize tasks, manage multiple projects simultaneously, and meet deadlines.
  • Familiarity with safety and compliance regulations in the janitorial industry.
  • Valid driver's license and reliable transportation.

Physical Requirements:

  • Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computer
  • Must be able to lift 15 pounds at times

Job Type/Shift: Full-time

Pay: $50,000 to $70,000 annually, depending on experience
