We are currently seeking an experienced Mechanical/Plumbing Project Manager to join our Construction Department in Tucson, AZ. This is a key leadership role responsible for managing all aspects of project execution, from pre-construction through closeout.
Key Responsibilities:
- Supervise daily operations and lead project teams on assigned jobs.
- Oversee all project documentation and administration to mitigate risk and protect company/client interests.
- Manage contract agreements—ensure timely review, processing, and execution.
- Review, edit, and distribute project budgets.
- Partner with field supervision to ensure cohesive and effective project teams.
- Conduct pre-construction turnover meetings for each assigned project.
- Secure necessary permits and licenses, and ensure they are properly posted.
- Oversee project scheduling—setup, monitor, and update timelines as needed.
- Coordinate procurement of materials and equipment in line with the buyout plan.
- Negotiate and manage subcontract agreements from preparation through execution.
- Ensure submittals are reviewed, processed, and tracked through approval.
- Develop billing schedules and maintain strong billing practices to optimize cash flow.
- Oversee change order pricing, negotiation, and processing.
- Ensure appropriate field staffing, labor planning, and productivity oversight.
- Manage tools and rental equipment usage—ensure timely returns of unused assets.
- Monitor overall financial performance—cost control, forecasting, and project valuations.
- Approve and process subcontractor and supplier invoices promptly and accurately.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in construction or related field preferred
- Or 5 years of progressive experience in construction project management
