Koehne Chevrolet GMC Inc. has an immediate opening for an EXPERIENCED Automotive Service Advisor.
We are looking to hire a long-term service writer who is knowledgeable, enthusiastic, and charismatic. Someone who is self-sufficient, self-motivated, and is looking for a company that will allow you to grow with us! Applicant must have knowledge in automotive repair, creating service repair estimates and orders, have the ability to close sales, implement new policies and procedures, and maintain customer rapport and records.
Job Duties
Able to identify and resolve automotive problems and services by listening to customer's description of symptoms; clarifying description of problems; conducting inspections; taking test drives; checking vehicle maintenance records; examining service schedules.
Verifies warranty and service contract coverage by examining records and papers, explaining provisions and exclusions.
Develops estimates by costing materials, supplies, and labor.
Calculating customer's payment, including deductibles.
Prepares repair orders by describing symptoms, problems, and causes discovered, as well as repairs and services required.
Entering repair orders into service database system.
Maintains customer rapport by explaining estimates and expected return of vehicle.
Obtain customer's approval of estimates.
Answering questions and concerns.
