The Information Security Intern will work closely with the Security Analysts to improve our security posture through operational activities and related project work.
Responsibilities
- Utilizing the Secure Technical Implementation Guide (STIG) and Tenable Vulnerability scanner, harden the Workstation and Server builds
- Documentation of all STIG related activities
- Assigning user privileges upon request
- Review activities within our EDR platform
- Review SIEM reports for applicability
- Documentation of SIEM related activities
- Working with the project team, review and track identified vulnerabilities until completion
- Rising Junior or Rising Senior pursuing a bachelor's degree in a related field
- Currently enrolled in an accredited 4-year college or university
- Strong attention to detail
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Platform
- Pursuing a Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Cybersecurity, Engineering, or a related field
- Customer focused and centric
- Interest in using technology to solve complex problems
- Experience with programming and scripting languages, a plus
