Role Overview: As a Material Program Manager (MPM), you will be the strategic liaison between the MACH TB 2.0 Program and Internal/External Supply Chain. This role is pivotal in ensuring operational excellence by managing material programs efficiently and cost-effectively throughout their lifecycle.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop forecasts for future material requirements and collaborate with program teams to influence optimal acquisition strategies.
- Synchronize departments to align material needs with production schedules and optimize inventory levels.
- Monitor and manage supplier relationships, ensuring compliance with standards and performance metrics.
- Identify and mitigate potential risks in the supply chain, implementing contingency plans as necessary.
- Drive process improvements to enhance overall program performance and efficiency.
- Foster partnerships across industries and geographies to advance spacecraft capabilities and workforce readiness.
Experience and Skills:
Basic Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Logistics, Business Administration, or related field, or equivalent experience/education.
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in Supply Chain Management, including Procurement, Subcontract Administration, Subcontract Management, Negotiation, or Category Management.
Desired Skills:
- Familiarity with DoD Space Systems Programs.
- Proven success as a project manager driving calculated decision-making.
- Strong analytical skills with proficiency in data analysis and forecasting.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to collaborate effectively across teams and with external partners.
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment, with a proactive approach to problem-solving.
