Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Janitor to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for maintaining cleanliness and order in the Preschool, ensuring a safe and welcoming environment for all occupants. This role requires a proactive approach to cleaning and maintenance tasks.
Responsibilities
- Perform routine cleaning tasks including sweeping, mopping, dusting, and vacuuming in designated areas.
- Maintain cleanliness in restrooms, break rooms, and common areas.
- Assist with facilities maintenance tasks as needed to support overall building upkeep.
- Handle industrial cleaning duties, ensuring compliance with safety standards and protocols.
- Report any maintenance issues or safety hazards to the appropriate personnel promptly.
- Support custodial efforts by managing waste disposal and recycling processes effectively.
- Collaborate with team members to ensure all cleaning tasks are completed efficiently.
- Working with classrooms to make sure they have everything they need, trash bags, clean laundry, all cleaning supplies and toilet supplies etc.
- Helping kitchen with numbers and dishes to ensure all rooms are fed on time and have clean eating materials.
Skills
- Experience in commercial cleaning or custodial services is preferred.
- Familiarity with facilities maintenance practices is a plus.
- Ability to perform residential painting tasks when required.
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
- Excellent time management skills to prioritize tasks effectively.
- Ability to work independently as well as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
- Good communication skills to interact with staff and management professionally.
