SUMMARY
Directs and manages all sourcing and procurement activities for all KFI facilities. Is accountable for providing the customers with timely, high quality, cost competitive thermoformed solutions while reducing cost, increasing efficiency, optimizing logistics. Also is a part of the Executive Management Team and as such shares the corporate P&L responsibility with other executives and participates in formulating and administering the corporate strategy and organization policies by performing the following duties personally or through subordinate directors and managers.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include, but are not limited to, the following:
- Develops supply chain direction in line with the company goals and strategies.
- Manages operations and supply chain direction for all facilities.
- Participates in formulating and administering company corporate strategy and policies as well as developing long range goals and objectives.
- Directs and coordinates activities of departments for which responsibility is delegated to further attainment of goals and objectives.
- Reviews analyses of activities, costs, operations, and forecast data to determine department or division progress toward stated goals and objectives.
- Confers with President and other executive personnel to review achievements and discuss required changes in goals or objectives resulting from current status and conditions.
- Serves as member of executive management staff and participates in the corporate strategy development.
- Communicates corporate and departmental OKRs.
- Setting policy for the direction, negotiation and procurement of raw materials and purchased parts.
- Responsible for the inventory levels, turns and continuous improvements of raw material and purchased parts.
- Knowledgeable of all contracts, major site service agreements, system's contracts and major leases.
- Sets and enforces company purchasing policies and procedures.
- Develops and manages systems that evaluate logistics needs to determine improvement opportunities.
- Perform all duties in compliance with regulatory requirements as well as company policies and procedures
SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES
Leads directors and managers who in turn supervise employees in Materials Planning and Sourcing areas. Is responsible for the overall direction, coordination, and evaluation of these units. Carries out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with the organization's policies and applicable laws. Responsibilities include interviewing, hiring, and training employees; planning, assigning, and directing work; appraising performance; rewarding and disciplining employees; addressing complaints and resolving problems.
QUALIFICATION REQUIREMENTS

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE
- Bachelor's degree (B.S.) from four-year College or university and ten years related experience; Experience in people management, lean manufacturing philosophy, and supply chain management.
- This person must also demonstrate and use Leadership, Management and Teamwork skills. Lives up and actively promotes executive management principles.
- Ability to work with mathematical concepts such as probability and statistical inference. Ability to apply concepts such as fractions, percentages, ratios, and proportions to practical situations. Ability to read and accurately interpret business income statements.
WORK AVAILABLITY AND TRAVEL
Must have the ability to work all shift schedules, periodic overtime and be available for periodic weekend work.
Travel requirements: 75%
