As a Test Technician at Kubota, you will interact with other engineering groups to define, document, analyze, perform, and interpret tests for diesel and gas engines. All work follows generally prescribed routines, with supervision being readily available.

Job Requirements:
· Bachelor’s Degree in engineering preferred or equivalent vocational training
· Certificate or courses in Dynamometer Operations
· 3-5 years experience in gasoline and/or diesel engine diagnostics and repair
Technical Skills:
- Knowledge of fabrication, machining, welding, and plumbing
- Ability to diagnose engine and component failure in a variety of components
- Some knowledge of C.A.N for communication and date requisition
- Some experience with Solidworks (or CAD) and Dyno Control Software
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
- Analyze test data and provide accurate reports. Make recommendations on any anomalies as to reason/corrective action.
- Develop, design, build, and validate specialized Dyne ancillary equipment to support specialized test requirements.
- Develop and create complex CAN protocol to facilitate communication with dyne control/data acquisition, and validate performance.
- Develop and build intricate test profiles for Dyne Control/Data Acquisition and implement.
- Collaborate with Application Engineering to design by drawing, measuring, cutting, and welding any specialty part, test rig, or component required.
- Set-up and build engines including assembly and disassembly.
- Evaluate critical situations in the lab and make decisions to best resolve issues.
- Test and diagnose mechanical, electrical, plumbing or electronic problems with engines; recommend and develop resolutions
- Prepare quality reports, track, and maintain answers for reports
- Create and implement innovative ideas that will result in incremental or dramatic improvement; commitment to continual improvement
- Manage special projects as assigned
- Drive forklift in a safe manner, ensuring loads are stable and secure
- Responsible for safety, tool inventory and cleanliness and of shop area
- Maintain an organized and secure work environment
- Support co-workers in other departments as needed
- Inform Manager of all noteworthy activities
- Follow safety guidelines and department and corporate policies and procedures
