Behavior Intervention Specialist is an employee position open immediately. Kuna Counseling offers a caring, team-oriented environment with a community focus, positive work atmosphere, flexible schedule, and competitive wages. Behavior Intervention Specialists provide services to children ages 4-21 to help them with skills they have already acquired but need reminders in order to follow through, as well as learning new skills with evidence based practice models. Behavior Intervention Specialist services are performed primarily in the community and home setting as a means to practice the skills they are learning. This provides the opportunity to work with a children one-on-one to make a truly meaningful difference in their lives. Kuna Counseling Center DD Program truly seeks to care for and help those in its program. Our services are provided throughout the community or on-site in the home. Experience in working in the developmental disabilities field is preferred.
Therapeutic Behavioral Specialists helps children and their families with behavioral or emotional difficulties to gain needed skills and behaviors to reduce or eliminate the negative symptoms they are experiencing.
Qualifications include:
· Must have a Bachelors degree or higher in a human service related field.
· Pass a criminal background check through the Department of Health and Welfare
· Reliable transportation
· Willing to transport participants.
Job Types: Full-time, Part-time
Behavior Intervention Specialist Pay: $26.50 - $33.00 per hour depending on experience and degree.
TBS pays $35/hr. TBS requires a certification that we can train you for while working here.
