- The Manager of IT, Policy Administrations’ role is to plan, coordinate, and supervise all staff management activities related to the design, development, implementation, and / or support of organizational staff. This includes on-boarding, off-boarding, and skills development of staff. It is a working technical/professional role, meaning that it involves research, design, and / or document approaches and frameworks for advancing the staff skillsets and capabilities.
Leadership
- Plan, lead, and develop the staff skillsets / talent / capabilities.
- Participate in daily, weekly, monthly, and annual planning process as appropriate to determine staff needs.
- Provide creative and energetic leadership for staff through effective communications, coaching, training, and development.
- Drive accountability of deliverables from staff and vendors.
- Communicate areas of accountability and performance expected.
- Determine standards of performance as a basis to review progress.
- Foster a high-performance culture conductive to maximizing staff morale and productivity.
- Develop staff for future advancement.
- Lead members in conceptualizing and developing their skill sets and capabilities for supporting the organizational needs.
- Work with members to prepare and document needs.
- Conduct research on emerging staff development approaches and frameworks.
- Recommend, schedule, and perform overall staff skillsets / talent / capabilities improvements.
- Administer critical analysis of staff skill sets and capabilities to ensure alignment with organizational strategy and goals.
- Generate statistics, and prepare and write reports for management and/or members on the status of the overall talent management process.
- Assist in the development and maintenance of staff development approaches and guidelines.
- Collaborate across the organization to align and leverage overall staff development guidelines and principles.
- 5 years managing a team.
- Experience with multiple programming language usage.
- Experience with multiple database usage.
- Experience with Waterfall and Agile development methodology and concepts.
- Experience with change management and change control processes.
- Technical knowledge of Server, Desktop, Laptop, and platform operating systems.
- Technical knowledge of current systems software, protocols, and standards.
