Position Summary:
- The Controller oversees the organization's financial operations, including financial reporting, budgeting, and compliance with regulatory requirements. The Controller will ensure accurate and timely financial management while supporting the organization's mission and strategic goals. Location:

Education:
- Bachelor's degree in accounting or finance from an accredited college or university
Experience:
- Minimum of 5 years of progressive experience in accounting or finance, with at least 3 years in a leadership role
- Experience with financial reporting, budgeting, and forecasting.
Certification/Licensure:
- At least 21 years old
- Valid Drivers License
- Valid Auto Insurance
Preferred Experience/Skills:
- Prior work history within a non-profit organization
- Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.
- Strong problem-solving skills with a focus on delivering innovative solutions.
Job Duties/ Responsibilities :
Task Expectations:
- Monitor budget performance, provide regular updates and variance analysis to the CFO and senior management.
- Coordinate the annual audit and tax preparation, ensuring compliance with all regulatory requirements.
- Ensure balance sheet accounts are reconciled monthly and that variances are researched and resolved in a timely manner
- Identify financial statement variances and/or trends, review general ledger activity, document variance explanations, and provide input to management
- Ma intain a nd update the organization's financial policies and procedures.
- Assist in the development of long-term department plans and strategies .
- Develop and implement financial policies, procedures, and internal controls.
- Provide support for special projects, system implementations, and process improvements.
- Collaborate with the senior leadership team to provide financial insights and recommendations to support strategic decision-making.
- Perform other duties as assigned
