As Senior Manager, General Ledger you will report to the Senior Director, Finance, and will be responsible for managing and participating in the monthly and quarterly financial closings including the preparation and review of journal entries and monthly account reconciliations. You will also play a key role in the monthly close process and ensuring monthly close activities are successfully completed.

Responsibilities
Lead and manage the general ledger team to ensure accurate and timely financial statements. Ensure preparation and review which include balance sheets, income statements, and cash flow statements if required. Coordinate and execute the month-end, quarter-end, and year-end closing processes, ensuring adherence to strict deadlines and financial reporting requirements. Assist and coordinate with the financial reporting team for additional schedules and information required for reporting purposes. Manage the preparation of consolidated financial reports for internal and external stakeholders, ensuring compliance with IFRS and other regulatory standards. Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including finance, accounting, and audit teams, to ensure data accuracy and resolve discrepancies. Drive process improvements in financial accounting and reporting. Identify and implement process improvements to streamline financial reporting and consolidation processes. Establish and maintain systems and controls that verify the integrity of all systems, processes, and data. Oversee all general ledger activities and ensure the accuracy of the general ledger Act as a liaison between the company and external auditors and governmental agencies. Assist in the preparation for and execution of external financial audits, liaising with auditors, providing requested documentation, and addressing audit findings. Manage relationships which include intercompany and cross functional departmental support Address complex issues related to balance sheet reconciliations and journal entries Ensure proper review of Journal entries. Prepare significant risk areas and journal entries if required. Lead the development and implementation of internal controls to enhance the accuracy and transparency of financial reporting. Oversee the intercompany accounting with subsidiaries and other group entities as necessary. Prepare significant risk areas with coordination with the financial reporting team as necessary. Oversee the general ledger accounting related to acquisitions and divestitures related to the business and other GL impacting activities. Perform detailed financial analysis and provide insights to support decision-making, budgeting, and forecasting processes as necessary. Manage responses to ad-hoc reporting requests and special projects, presenting findings and recommendations to senior leadership Mentor and guide accounting staff, fostering a collaborative and high-performing team environment. Support training initiatives for various stakeholders to enhance financial reporting literacy. Calculates key reserves relating to allowance for bad debt, sales returns, inventory reserves and warranty reserves. Monitors financial trends impacting these reserve calculations and presents action plans to management to minimize expense. Provides strong business and technical leadership. Assists with special projects as required including enhancements to the company’s financial reporting software applications. Performs other duties as assigned by Manager.
Qualifications
Bachelor of Science in Accounting. Minimum of 6 years of relevant experience which includes 1 years’ experience in a managerial position. Internal Control framework implementation experience. Excellent analytical and problem- solving skills Strong communication and collaboration skills Excellent skills in ORACLE, Excel, Word, PowerPoint and dealing with IT issues related to financial close and reporting. Hyperion experience is a plus but not required. CPA and/or master’s is preferred. Ability to work under pressure and tight deadlines.
