Position: Water Park Manager
Reports To: EDA
Location: La Jolla Enterprises
Classification: Seasonal - Full Time
Pay rate: $25 -$30/hour

Position Summary: Oversees daily operation of the Sengme Oaks Waterpark located in the La Jolla Indian Reservation. Managing staff, including lifeguards, cashiers, pool attendants, maintenance, and others. Management of the park to ensure the park is safe for guests and employees. Generating business and having a goal to increase attendance
JOB DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
The following duties are considered essential for this job classification:
- Work with Directors to develop and manage sales strategies to increase park attendance
- Assist in recruiting and training staff
- High level of customer service. Positive and welcoming interaction with guests
- Able to be a leader to coach and motivate staff
- Work with the Marketing to develop plans that benefit the Waterpark and Adventure Park as a whole
- Able to handle staff disputes and know when there is a need for disciplinary action.
- Adhering to a strict budget in regard to staffing and expenditures
- Reaching out to groups, including schools and other organizations, to offer group rates
- Maintaining and overseeing that the pool's chemistry is at safe levels
- Scheduling staff to make sure that all positions are fully covered
- Ensuring all policies and procedures, including those relating to safety, are adhered to daily
- Ability to work outdoors in heat up to 100 degrees.

Minimum Qualifications:
- Management experience with a diverse staff of different demographics
- Have or obtain CPR/First Aid certification. A complete course in water safety
- Have computer skills such as Word and Excel are required.
- Summer Holidays and Weekends are required.
- Morning, Day, and Evening shifts
- The position is seasonal, approximately May through September. However, it could evolve into full-time permanent.
- Must be able to work in outdoor weather conditions.
Preferred:
- Theme Park Management
- Experience working in a Tribal Community
- Hospitality experience
- Pool maintenance
Physical Demands
- Must be able to move throughout the waterpark frequently.
- Must be able to walk, climb, or balance; stoop, kneel, crouch, use hands to finger, handle, or feel; reach with hands and arms.
- Must be able to lift and/or move up to 10 pounds regularly, frequently lift and move up to 25 pounds, and occasionally lift and/or move up to 50 pounds.
- The noise level in the work environment is usually high.
- This is a full-time position with various work hours and days based on business needs. It regularly requires evening and weekend work.
