The La Mesa-Spring Valley School District is seeking a Facilities Assistant to join their team. The successful candidate will have six months of work experience performing custodial functions and be able to perform routine custodial activities at an assigned school site or facility.
Responsibilities:
- Cleans classrooms, cafeterias, gymnasiums, auditoriums, lounges, offices, locker rooms, hallways, and other facilities as assigned
- Maintains buildings and adjacent grounds areas in a clean, orderly, and secure condition
- Communicates effectively with personnel, administrators, and outside contacts as needed
Requirements:
- Six months of work experience performing custodial functions
- Able to operate a variety of custodial equipment including vacuums, mops, small hand and power tools, buffer/scrubber machines, carpet cleaning machines, and other equipment as assigned
- Able to lift, carry, push, or pull heavy objects
