What are the responsibilities and job description for the Hotel Front Desk Receptionist position at La Quinta Inns & Suites?

We are seeking a Front Desk Agent to join our team at La Quinta Grand Prairie North. As a Front Desk Agent, you will be the first point of contact for our guests, providing them with a warm welcome and ensuring their stay is comfortable and enjoyable. We are looking for someone who has open availability to work mainly evenings from 3pm-11pm and mornings as needed 7am-3pm.Being available on weekends is a must.

We prefer someone with previous hotel experience and those candidates will be given priority,however,it is not required.We also prefer for you to be bilingual.(Enligsh/Spanish)

Some of the job duties include:

* Greets, registers, and assigns rooms to guests.

  • Handles confidential information, including guest records, with a high degree of integrity. Promptly and effectively deals with guest requests and complaints.
  • Answers and routes calls as appropriate; takes guest messages with accuracy. Responsible for cash drawer contents and transactions during shift.
  • Assists in replenishing breakfast as needed and keeping breakfast area clean.
  • Ensures common area/lobby is clean.
  • Other duties as assigned.

- Excellent phone etiquette and communication skills
- Strong guest relations skills, with a focus on providing exceptional customer service
- Previous experience in guest services or hospitality management is preferred
- Familiarity with night audit procedures is a plus
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and handle multiple tasks simultaneously
- Proficient in using computer systems and hotel management software

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $16.00 - $17.00 per hour

Expected hours: 40 per week
