JOB SUMMARY:
Our Sales Department strives to ensure that all our customers' needs are met promptly and efficiently. As part of Solar and Roof Sales Representative, the SOLAR ROOF SALES REPRESENTATIVE will be responsible for driving sales of solar energy systems solutions with new roofing systems. The role involves engaging with potential customers, educating them about the benefits of solar energy and quality roofing options, and guide them through the sales process. This role requires a strong understanding of solar technology, roofing materials, and sales techniques, coupled with excellent communication and negotiation skills to successfully close deals.
THE BASIC RESPONSIBILITIES OF THE SOLAR ROOF SALES REPRESENTATIVE INCLUDE, BUT ARE NOT LIMITED TO:
- Sales Generation: Identify and develop new sales opportunities within the solar and roofing markets. Actively seek out potential customers through various means such as cold calling, networking, and referrals.
- Client Consultation: Meet with prospective customers to understand their needs, assess their properties for solar feasibility, and recommend appropriate roofing solutions. Provide detailed information about the benefits of solar energy and various roofing options.
- Product Knowledge: Maintain a deep understanding of solar technology, different roofing materials, and their benefits. Educate customers on the technical aspects of solar systems and various roofing options available.
- Proposal Development: Create customized proposals and quotes tailored to the customer's needs and preferences. Clearly articulate the costs, benefits, and return on investment associated with solar systems and roofing solutions.
- Sales Process Management: Manage the entire sales cycle from prospecting to closing deals. Effectively negotiate contracts and terms, while ensuring customer satisfaction and building strong, long-term relationships.
- Collaboration: Work closely with internal teams such as installation crews, project managers, and customer service to ensure a seamless transition from sale to implementation and provide ongoing support to customers.
- Market Analysis: Stay updated on industry trends for both solar energy solutions and roofing, market conditions, and competitor activities. Utilize this information to develop sales and marketing strategies to stay ahead in the solar/roofing industry.
QUALIFICATIONS:
- High school diploma or equivalent (Bachelor's degree in Business, Marketing, Engineering, or related fields is a plus).
- Proven track record in sales, preferably in solar energy and roofing industries.
- Strong understanding of solar technology and roofing materials.
- Excellent communication, negotiation, and presentation skills.
- Ability to explain technical concepts in a simple, understandable manner.
- Self-motivated and results-driven with a proactive and entrepreneurial mindset.
- Knowledge of local regulations, incentives, and rebates related to solar energy.
