We are currently seeking a Onboarding & Training Coordinator to join our growing team in Covington, LA. You will be responsible for coordinating new and existing team member training and development programs that foster development and contribute to a positive workplace experience for all team members.
In this role, you will:
- Coordinate the new hire onboarding process, including system/equipment set up and scheduling of orientation and training activities for new hires to ensure a sooth transition into the organization.
- Serve as the main point of contact for new hires during their onboarding period, addressing questions and ensuring they have all necessary resources.
- Collaborate with team leaders to ensure that deliverables and training plans are created, maintained, & executed for every position,
- Design, develop, and maintain training materials, including manuals, and presentations.
- Maintain and update content and training records in our learning management system.
- Partner with department leaders to identify skill gaps & training opportunities.
- Support our Technical Servies team with scheduling training for team members and customers and facilitating onsite events.
- May perform other duties as required by business needs.
Qualifications we are looking for:
- High school diploma or equivalent required; bachelor's degree preferred.
- 1-2 years experience in training, onboarding, or related role preferred.
Skills you will need:
- High energy with a positive attitude and strong work ethic.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Detail oriented with strong problem-solving skills.
- Excellent time management and demonstrated ability to meet deadlines.
- Proficiency in MS Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
- Familiarity with learning management systems.
- Knowledge of industry trends and best practices in developing training programs preferred.
- Ability to work well individually and as part of a team with diverse personalities. Tactful and mature.
- Strong customer service mentality.
Work Schedule and Benefits:
- This position operates in an office environment; work generally sedentary in nature but may require some standing and walking at times.
- Standard office hours are Monday - Friday from 8am - 5pm.
