Job Summary
We are looking for a Procurement Specialist to serve as a member of our Project Team for the Key Bridge Rebuild Project in the Baltimore area. The project field office is located in Hanover, MD. The individual selected for this role will assist on the Key Bridge Rebuild Project in executing contracts from start to finish for assigned scope of work. Will be expected to lead discussions advancing the procurement process while vetting discrepancies and issues to ensure materials and services are delivered on schedule, in compliance with the client’s specifications and expectations, and in alignment with Kiewit contracting processes.
Responsibilities
- Prepare/issue Request for Proposals (RFP’s) that align with project specific requirements.
- Research and evaluate suppliers based on price, quality, selection, service, support, availability, reliability, production and distribution capabilities and the supplier’s reputation and history.
- Serve as a liaison between the project team, vendor, and legal to resolve escalated, complex, or disputed contract issues.
Qualifications
- Supply chain experience working with the RFP/Bid process, contract development/negotiation and execution.
- Proficient use of Microsoft Office Suite.
- Excellent written and oral communication skills.
- Detail oriented with effective organization and coordination skills.
