We are currently seeking an organized, detail-oriented Accounts Payable Specialist to join our team and support our growing operations.
Position Overview: We are looking for a motivated Accounts Payable Specialist who will be responsible for managing and processing the company’s accounts payable activities. The ideal candidate will be detail-focused, reliable, and able to handle financial documentation in a timely and efficient manner.
Key Responsibilities:
- Process and maintain accounts payable transactions, including invoices, expense reports, and purchase orders.
- Ensure accurate coding of expenses and proper approval of invoices.
- Communicate with vendors regarding payment status and discrepancies.
- Reconcile accounts payable transactions and ensure accurate records.
- Assist with month-end and year-end closing processes.
- Maintain a filing system for all accounts payable documents.
- Assist with other accounting tasks as needed.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent required; Associate’s degree in accounting or finance preferred.
- Prior experience in accounts payable or similar accounting roles is a plus.
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and accounting software (QuickBooks experience a plus).
- Strong communication and organizational skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Must be able to handle confidential information with discretion.
