We are hiring a Night Shift Lab Technician (2-2-3 Schedule) to join our quality & food safety team. The lab technician is responsible for cheese testing, environmental and pre-op inspections, results tracking and reporting and support of food safety and QA programs

- Bachelors Degree in a science related field or equivalent experience
- 5 years of experience of lab and quality experience, including experience within the food industry
- HACCP, PCQI Trained & SQF Practitioner Certified
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Leadership skills, with the ability to collaborate and influence change
- Reliable and dependable with demonstrated good attendance
- Able to work effectively and efficiently
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy
- Excellent interpersonal skills, with the ability to work with all levels of the organization
- Self-motivated with ability to work independently
- Excellent follow up and follow through, with the ability to prioritize and multi-task
- Proficient in Microsoft Office programs (Word, Excel, Outlook)
- Willing to pitch in and help when and where needed
Work Environment/Physical Requirements:
Work environment is primary based in the office, but will involve work in laboratory and food production areas. Must be able to stand, walk, bend, stoop, squat and twist. Hair/beard nets and gloves must be worn in required areas due to GMP requirements.
