- Serve as the primary point of contact for workforce development initiatives, ensuring responsiveness and clear communication.
- Seek out new entities and organizations to train area educators and school leaders and provide student opportunities for workforce development training.
- Partner with local and state-level agencies focused on growing and enhancing Ohio’s workforce, such as Ohio Means Jobs, Area 19, and Economic Development Groups.
- Partner with counselors and teachers to identify and engage students in workforce readiness activities.
- Develop and deliver resources, workshops, and one-on-one coaching sessions to support students career planning.
- Provide consistent communication and follow-ups to ensure student engagement and success.
- Designed and delivered on-site training and workshops for school personnel and parents on relevant topics related to workforce development.
- Recruit and support students in job shadowing and internship programs.
- Identify and establish partnerships with businesses offering meaningful work-based learning experiences.

- Coordinate and adhere to BAC plan creation, reporting, and data collection requirements. Provide training to school district leaders on how to collect and report required data.
- Develop and implement marketing strategies with the marketing team to promote workforce development programs, including social media outreach.
- Actively promote initiatives to educators, businesses, and the community.
- Work with educators to enhance connections between schools and local businesses.
- Coordinate with business and industry leaders to enhance their recruitment efforts to graduating seniors for future job placement.
- Consult with districts on CCP programs and expansion of programs.
- Support districts with knowledge of funding and EMIS reporting to maximize program funding.

Summary:
The Coordinator of Workforce Development is responsible for designing, implementing, and managing
customized workforce readiness programs that prepare students for career success. This role serves as a
key liaison between schools, businesses, and community partners to create meaningful opportunities for
students to explore career pathways.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities: Other duties may be assigned by the Administration.
Program Implementation and Management:
To perform the job successfully, an individual should demonstrate the following competencies:
Must have a bachelor’s degree, previous professional experience preferred in education or a related field
with knowledge of education, graduation seal and CTE, reliable transportation, and a valid driver's
license. Experience in career tech education is a plus.
Physical Demands: The employee must lift or move up to 50 pounds regularly. Specific vision abilities
required by this job include Close vision and Peripheral vision. While performing their duties, the
employee must regularly use hands to finger, handle, or feel; reach with hands and arms; and talk or hear.
