POSITION: Secretary
SCHEDULE: Wednesday-Saturday 10AM-3PM
DEPARTMENT: Office
REPORTS TO: General Manager, Controller and Catering Director
GENERAL RESPONSIBILITIES: Secretaries must be careful, orderly, and detail-oriented in order to avoid making errors and to recognize errors made by others. These workers also should be discreet and trustworthy because they frequently come in contact with confidential material. They should also have good communication skills because they increasingly work with customers.
SPECIFIC RESPONSIBILITIES: Duties include, but are not limited to the following:
- Answer incoming phone calls
- Newsletter – Gather and submit all information
- Microsoft Excel
- Design flyers with Canva
- Sends out all bulk emails
- Orders office supplies
- Creates and prints new flyers for the month
- Updates website
- Takes reservations for club events
- Makes all copies for golf shop flyers
- Stuffs statements at beginning of the month
- Helps with 9 & 18-hole lady golfers (types their booklets)
- Helps the senior men golfers (types schedule)
- Opens all daily mail and makes copies
- Total deposits for the day
- Advertisements in menus for grill room
- Types limited menus for events
- Mail packets to potential brides contracts and menus
- Provide guests with general information for catered events, but referring them to the Catering Director for more details and bookings
QUAILIFICATIONS: Lake Shore Country Club prefers the Secretary have at least a high school diploma and some experience in an office environment. The Secretary should have good communication skills, be detail-oriented, and trustworthy. Employers prefer workers who can use computers; knowledge of word processing and spreadsheet software is especially valuable.
