What are the responsibilities and job description for the Radiologic Technology - College Faculty Instructor Full-Time position at Lake Superior College?
Position Purpose:
Lake Superior College is hiring a Full-time Unlimited Radiologic Technology faculty member that reports directly to the Dean of Allied Health & Nursing. The instructor is responsible for applying their expertise to teach American Registry of Radiological Technologists (ARRT) program approved content in accordance with the Joint Review Committee on Education in Radiology Technology (JRCERT) to prepare students to reach their academic goals.
The instructor actively participates in departmental meetings and activities, in student recruitment for their courses/program, and in support of the general development of students and the college.
Responsibilities:
- Teach radiologic technology content primarily in a clinical setting with a large number of clinical hours during day/evening and weekend hours as the semester schedule requires.
- Developing curriculum, revising teaching materials, and developing student learning outcomes
- Participate in college initiatives through committee work and interdepartmental collaboration
- Complete assessment activities at the instructor, course, department, and institutional level
Position Requirements
Minimum Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree
Occupational Experience Requirement:
- Four full-time years (or equivalent) of verified related paid work experience as a registered technologist
Recency Requirement:
- One year of this work experience shall be within the five years immediately preceding the date of application for the credential field. The recency requirement shall be waived if the individual has two years of successful full-time (or equivalent) postsecondary teaching experience in the credential field within the last five years
Professional Requirement:
- Certified as a Registered Technologist (RT) by the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (AART)
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience teaching
- Excellent written and oral communication skills
- Flexibility to teach daytime, evening, weekend, online, or off-campus sections
Salary Range: $54,696.05 - $73,690.33 per year
** The above salary range is for initial placement only. If currently teaching within Minnesota State, current salary will remain the same.**
