Overview: We are seeking a creative and energetic Kids' Event Coordinator to join our team. The ideal candidate will be passionate about creating memorable experiences for children and families through engaging and well-organized events. As a Kids' Event Coordinator, you will be responsible for planning, coordinating, and executing various events and programs aimed at children, such as birthday parties, after school programs, workshops, and more.
Responsibilities:
- Work with the Program Manager to plan and coordinate all aspects of kids' events from conception to completion, ensuring all details are handled efficiently and effectively
- Develop event themes, activities, and entertainment that align with the interests and age groups of children
- Source and manage vendors, including entertainers, caterers, and decorators, to ensure events run smoothly
- Create and manage event budgets, ensuring all expenses are within budgetary guidelines
- Coordinate logistics such as venue selection, transportation, accommodations, and equipment rentals as needed
- Communicate event details and logistics to staff, vendors, and participants clearly and effectively
- Oversee event setup, operations, and breakdown, ensuring a safe and enjoyable experience for all attendees
- Evaluate event success and gather feedback to continuously improve future events
- Ensure compliance with health, safety, and legal regulations at all times
- Learn and utilize scheduling software system
- Proven experience in event planning and coordination, particularly with children's events, is preferred
- Excellent organizational and time-management skills with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously
- Strong attention to detail and problem-solving skills
- Creative mindset with the ability to develop unique event ideas and themes
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with children, parents, vendors, and staff
- Ability to work flexible hours, including evenings and weekends, as required by event schedules
