Position Overview:
We are currently interviewing for a Business Development Manager to create long-term, trusting relationships with our clients. The Business Development Manager’s role is to oversee a portfolio of assigned clients, develop new business from existing clients and actively seek sales growth opportunities within the assigned accounts. Additionally, this role will be responsible for securing new clients and developing them into successful accounts.
The Business Development Manager provides exceptional customer service by developing strong relationships, connecting with key business executives and stakeholders within each account. In this role, you will liaise with cross-functional internal teams to improve the entire client experience. This position may require occasional travel.
- Generate revenue to meet sales targets.
- Prospect, identify and qualify leads to drive additional sales opportunities through cold-calling and lead generation campaigns.
- Gather and utilize business intelligence on prospects to support sales calls, product presentations and driving new business.
- Manage the sales process by scheduling appointments, learning prospective client needs, creating proposals, and winning business.
- Continually build your prospect pipeline each day, achieving metrics, and manage work.
For existing accounts, you will:
- Serve as the lead point of contact for all client account management matters.
- Build and maintain strong, long-lasting client relationships.
- Develop trusted advisor relationships with key accounts, client stakeholders and executive sponsors.
- Ensure the timely and successful delivery of solutions according to client needs and objectives.
- Clearly communicate the progress of initiatives to internal and external stakeholders.
- Develop new business with existing clients and/or identify areas of improvement to meet sales quotas.
- Forecast and track key account metrics.
- Prepare updates on account status.
- Collaborate with operations team to identify and grow opportunities within territory.
- Assist with challenging client requests or issue escalations as needed.
- Salesforce utilization with appropriate activities.
- Lead generation within accounts and leads list creation.
- Outbound cold calling, appointment setting, and tracking on existing accounts.
- Update existing account information on an ongoing basis, as it becomes available.
- Collaborate with existing clients to update client information and their portals (Corrigo, Service Channel, Ariba, etc.).
What you have:
- Significant Subject Matter Expertise in the Signage, Facilities Management and Facility Maintenance industries.
- Exceptional customer service and problem-solving skills.
- Demonstrated ability to communicate, present and influence key stakeholders at all levels of an organization, including leaders and C-Suite executives.
- Demonstrated experience in CRM software and Microsoft Office (MS Excel, particularly)
- 3 years’ facilities maintenance industry account management experience
- 3 years’ experience delivering client-focused solutions to client needs.
- Proven ability to juggle multiple account management projects at a time, while maintaining sharp attention to detail.
- Excellent listening, negotiation, problem-solving, conflict resolution and presentation abilities.
- Exceptional verbal and written communication skills.
- Team-player mindset with high-level of dedication to raising the bar for the whole team.
