What are the responsibilities and job description for the Access Front Desk Specialist position at Lakeview Behavioral Health?
Lakeview Behavioral Health is currently looking for an experienced Access Front Desk Specialist. This position will also be back up front desk coverage on occasion/as needed at our Virginia location
This position assists in communications and provides support to clinical personnel under the direction of the Access Front Desk Team Lead. The Access Front Desk Specialist provides daily support to clients, staff and independent contractors regarding all aspects of the front desk operations.
Qualifications:
- Have work experience in administrative or medical office settings.
- Be 18 years of age or older.
- Ability to successfully complete MN Dept of Human Services background study.
Job Responsibilities include but not limited to:
- Develop and maintain a working knowledge and understanding of all policy and procedures.
- Schedule and reschedule client appointments.
- Answer incoming calls and return phone calls by the end of the business day but no later than the following business day.
- Verify client demographic information at each encounter with the client.
- Comprehensive management of provider spaces, schedule reconciliation, no show follow up, and provider schedule remains full.
- Develop and maintain a working knowledge of insurance, insurance regulations, deductibles, copayments and provider eligibility.
- Enter accurate insurance information into the Electronic Health Record (EHR).
- Develop and maintain knowledge of HIPAA and compliance standards.
- Process incoming and outgoing medical records requests in accordance with company practice and policies.
- Process incoming and outgoing faxes in a timely manner and in accordance with company practices and policies.
- Create and maintain a safe and positive environment that is supportive of those seeking behavioral health services.
- Develop and maintain a working knowledge of federal, state, county and internal regulations/policies as related to job responsibilities.
- Basic office housekeeping related duties.
