Job Description
We’re a small, all women, social media marketing agency working with a range of NYC-based clients—from local restaurants and boutiques to personal brands and professionals. We’re looking for a highly organized and creative Social Media Assistant to support our growing client roster.
This role is ideal for someone who loves social media, has strong writing and editing skills, and understands how to create engaging content across multiple platforms. You'll collaborate directly with our team on content creation, scheduling, community engagement, and more.
Responsibilities
- Assist in managing content calendars and scheduling posts on Instagram, TikTok, LinkedIn, and other platforms
- Edit short-form video content (Reels, TikToks, etc.) using CapCut, Final Cut Pro, or similar tools
- Write compelling and on-brand captions, with an understanding of SEO and keyword strategy
- Support email outreach for partnerships, press opportunities, and influencer collaboration
- Track trends, audio, and platform updates to inform content direction
- Help with general organizational and administrative support for active campaigns
Qualifications
- Solid understanding of Instagram, TikTok, LinkedIn, and current social media trends
- Experience editing short-form video content (CapCut, Final Cut Pro, or similar)
- Strong writing skills, especially for social media captions and email outreach
- Basic knowledge of SEO for social media and content strategy
- Highly organized, detail-oriented, and comfortable juggling multiple projects
- Self-starter with a collaborative spirit and positive attitude
- Lives in NYC
