Description
Job Summary:
This position exists to provide administrative and customer service support to the Financial Aid Office in all areas related to the management of internal and external financial resources for students.
Physical Requirements:
- Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computer.
- Must be able to lift up to 15 pounds at times.

Education and Experience:
- High school diploma or GED; college degree preferred.
- Minimum 2 years’ experience in general office duties.
- Administrative experience in higher education preferred.

Duties/Responsibilities:
- Be the first line of communication for department.
- Support the Financial Aid Staff in all financial aid communications to students.
- Greet and screen visitors in a professional manner.
- Answer basic financial aid questions or determine appropriate routing.
- Process and distribute incoming mail.
- Maintain financial aid office documents and student records.
- Make appointments for staff members.
- Create and maintain the organization of student files.
- Verify and track student financial aid records.
- Maintain and update the Policy and Procedures Manual as well as other office correspondence.
- Assist with annual surveys and data collection.
- Take minutes for staff meetings and scholarship committee.
- Assist with student packaging and data entry.
- Assist staff with the management of federal or state aid programs.
- Performs other related duties as assigned.
