About the PositionThis Bilingual (Spanish) Developmental Disabilities Specialist position is on the Child & Youth Team providing in-home supports and services to children with intellectual/developmental disabilities and their families.The person in this position will assess individual needs and create individual plans of support for each child on their caseload. You will be a part of a strong supportive case management team, with opportunities to collaborate with community partners in disability, education, medical and behavioral health providers.Regular supervision is provided, along with onboarding training and support to learn the County and State system of support and service coordination. EXAMPLE OF DUTIES
Training: Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university.Experience: One year of experience of working with persons with developmental disabilities.An equivalent combination of experience and training that will demonstrate the required knowledge and abilities is qualifying. Testing RequirementsSuccessful hire will be contingent upon taking a bilingual test to demonstrate proficiency in both English & Spanish.Notes: This position is subject to a full criminal offender information record check.
