Lane Forest Products is growing with over 200 employees and is currently seeking a Wholesale Logistics Specialist to join our team. The right candidate will be self-driven and be able to follow direction closely. This position supports management, planning with scheduling deliveries, maintaining pricing databases, ordering product, maintaining inventory levels, and providing excellent customer service to a customer base throughout Oregon and California.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
- Assist in Coordinating Local Delivery Fleet
- Schedule Semi Trucks from various locations to haul material from out of town suppliers
- Maintain all Wholesale product pricing
- Wholesale Product Sales
- Setup and maintain hauling rates for contracted trucking companies
- Send product samples and create quotes of products to customers to gain new sales
- Data Entry
QUALIFICATIONS
- Experience in a Commercial Vehicle setting with ODOT laws and regulations knowledge preferred but not required.
- High School Diploma/GED required.
- 3 years of data entry, basic accounting and/or general administrative duties required
- Effective verbal and written communication techniques.
- Ability to prepare reports, coordinate and provide customer and vendor service
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office (Excel & Word)
- Process improvement skills, analytical thinking and problem solving
- Able to work in a team environment and make good decisions.
- Strong attention to detail
