The Marketing & Communications Specialist is primarily responsible for the implementation of LANTA's Market Development Strategy, market research activities, and rider communications. This position reports to the Manager of Communications & Strategic Initiatives. This is an exciting opportunity to build connections with residents and businesses of the Lehigh, Northampton, and Carbon counties. This position will be instrumental in crafting compelling stories that guide the rider's journey and understand the rider's experience.
Key Responsibilities :
The Marketing & Communications Specialist is primarily responsible for activities such as, but not limited to :
- Social media management of all platforms, including responding to rider questions and concerns in a timely and efficient manner.
- Assist with implementation of LANTA's Market Development Strategy including directing the work of contracted vendors.
- Design and lead the rider information programs to ensure timely and user-friendly printed or electronic service information and general awareness regarding LANTA.
- Lead and implement LANTA's Your Voice Initiative through various mediums for public feedback.
- Clearly summarize survey results for relevant LANTA staff.
- Ability to learn and use analysis software such as SurveyMonkey and Power BI.
- Work may include on-board passenger surveys, conducting focus groups and panel discussions on LANTA service.
- Create and maintain an ambassador network that helps drive awareness of LANTA's service.
- Understand the basic concept of graphic design.
- Ensure LANTA's brand is consistent and accurate amongst all marketing channels.
- Provide input to the planning and service delivery process.
- Proactively assess rider needs using critical thinking skills.
- Partner with the planning division to communicate service changes and ensure riders have access to the latest information.
- Support the Marketing and Communication department on various initiatives.
- Other duties as assigned by the Manager of Communications & Strategic Initiatives.
- Certain responsibilities will involve fieldwork and may require working outside standard business hours.
