The Luxury Pre Owned Director role requires a unique blend of core, premium, and relevant skills to excel in the luxury automotive industry. The Ideal candidate is a current GSM or Used Car Director now who is savvy with current market conditions, wholesale, retail, recon and who can Lead! The Preowned Director has a focus on dealership experience, retail sales and customer service.
The ideal candidate should possess strong communication skills and a proven track record . Additionally, proficiency in negotiation and a strategic sales mindset are highly valued for this position. The successful candidate will be responsible for leading sales strategies, managing inventory effectively and driving sales growth through innovative approaches. A Bachelor's degree is preferred, along with demonstrated leadership skills and a solid understanding of inventory control. Requirements:
- Previous Dealership experience required
- Finance Dealership experience preferred
- Recruit, hire, train, and oversee a team of automotive salespeople
- Set sales goals, track progress, and lead the team to achieve and exceed those quotas
- Coach salespeople on best practices for closing more vehicle deals and provide advice and guidance to improve sales performance
- Forecast sales for upcoming months and quarters
- Step in to answer customer questions and issues when required
- Coordinate and lead all regular sales meetings with the sales staff
- Develop and manage a CRM platform to retain customers and seek out new prospective sales
- Maintain a strong focus on the satisfaction of all customers
- Compile regular reports for dealership management to review
- Evaluate Trades
- Structure deals that are both profitable in front and back gross
- Proficient with current bank programs and terms
- Proficient with wholesale and current retail conditions
- Savvy with pricing dealership inventory
- Approve Recon
- Manage profit/loss wholesale report
- Help maintain advertising budget
- Market display inventory
- Maintain inventory turn per requirements
Qualifications:
- Associate or bachelor’s degree preferred
- Proven knowledge of effective sales strategies and best practices
- Substantial track record of exceeding sales quotas and goals
