Founded in 2022, Las Vegas Grand Prix, Inc. (“LVGP” or the “Company”) is the promoter and operator of the Formula 1 Las Vegas Grand Prix, which takes place annually with the next grand prix in November 2024. We are a wholly owned subsidiary of Formula 1, a UK business, which rolls up underneath the Formula One Group (NASDAQ: FWONA) of Liberty Media Corporation.


POSITION OVERVIEW

LVGP has an exciting role available for the Manager, Finance position, reporting to the Senior Director, Finance. The successful candidate for this role will seamlessly navigate between the details and the big picture. This position plays a critical role within accounting and finance. The Manager, Finance will take the lead in supporting internal controls, monthly financial reporting, accounts payable and accounts receivable functions.

 

RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Demonstrate appropriate understanding/working knowledge of accounting principles and internal controls
  • Assist in managing month-end financial close from beginning to end (i.e., administrator close schedule, balance sheet schedules, reconcile general ledger accounts, analyze account discrepancies, and produce error-free financial reports)
  • Assist in managing day-to-day accounting functions, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, cash, fixed assets
  • Assist in preparing monthly trial balance reviews, financial statements, management reports, and fluctuation analyses
  • Use data to make recommendations and influence strategic decision making and planning
  • Manage staff in invoicing and accounts receivable management
  • Develop, establish, implement, appropriate policies and procedures
  • Facilitate annual budgeting process in collaboration with other staff
  • Support Controller in ensuring business controls are properly documented and adhered to and work with senior leadership to enhance operating control and efficiency
  • Establish expense budget management process with functional leaders. Review monthly and year-to-date results and analyze trends
  • Assist with coordination of internal and external audit requests
  • Special projects and other responsibilities as needed


Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree or higher degree in Finance or Accounting
  • Advanced credentials (CPA and/or MBA) are preferable
  • Requires 3-5 years of relevant experience, including supervisory responsibilities; public accounting experience preferred
  • Demonstrated proficiency in Microsoft Office (especially Excel); knowledge of Microsoft Dynamics 365 is a plus
  • Demonstrate a proficient level of knowledge in accounting and keeps current in developments and trends
  • Ability to monitor and collect data to assess accuracy, integrity, analyze data: ensure compliance with applicable standards (GAAP) rules and regulations and systems of internal control and be able to interpret and evaluate results, prepare documentation, and create financial reports and presentations as needed.
  • Establishing and fostering collaborative relationships across all levels to provide a high level of service in a fast-paced environment is required
  • Strong work ethic, time management and sense of urgency to address issues promptly is necessary in this role along with the ability to be flexible and agile
  • Highly organized and detail oriented

  • Team player with ability to collaborate with other departments and Executive Team as needed
