Global Logistics Job Description:
We are looking for a highly skilled Global Logistics professional to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing the end-to-end export operations process, ensuring seamless coordination with clients, carriers, and internal teams.
The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of ocean export procedures, documentation, and compliance regulations, as well as a commitment to providing exceptional customer service in a fast-paced logistics environment.
Responsibilities:
- Manage all aspects of ocean export shipments from origin to destination, including booking cargo, preparing documentation, and arranging transportation
- Ensure accuracy and compliance with international shipping regulations, customs requirements, and company policies
- Prepare and review export documentation such as bills of lading, certificates of origin, invoices, and packing lists
- Communicate with carriers, freight forwarders, and other stakeholders to ensure timely delivery of shipments and resolve any issues that arise during transit
- Monitor shipment status and provide updates to clients and internal teams, addressing inquiries and ensuring a high level of customer satisfaction
Skills and Qualifications:
- 2 years of experience in ocean export operations, freight forwarding, or logistics
- Strong knowledge of ocean freight procedures, documentation, and international trade regulations
- Familiarity with industry-specific software, such as Cargowise or other Transportation Management Systems (TMS), is a plus
- Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail, with the ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment
- Strong communication skills, both written and verbal, to effectively liaise with clients, carriers, and internal teams
