Job Responsibilities
As an Accounts Receivable Collections Specialist, you will be responsible for the following responsibilities:
- Handle incoming and outgoing patient customer service calls.
- Follow-up on delinquent patient accounts through phone calls and letters.
- Change and flow through of payment date and bank account information per patient request.
- Accumulate and analyze monthly patient charge-off information.
- Pull payment return information and reconcile to patient accounts.
- Maintain solid recordkeeping of notes relating to all collection efforts, including calls and letters sent to patients.
- Weekly and monthly reporting to direct supervisor.
- High volume phone calls to assigned delinquent patients.
- Meet defined department goals and activity metrics.
- Other responsibilities and duties as assigned.
- Ability to work non-standard hours.
Job Requirements
As an Accounts Receivable Collections Specialist, you should possess basic computer skills (Window environment, email, keyboarding), as well as basic Microsoft Office skills, with familiarity with Excel a plus. Additionally, it is important that you display strong verbal and written communication skills, with attention to detail and goal orientation.
Specific qualifications for this role include:
- Familiarity with Daybreak Accounts Receivable System (not required, but a plus)
- Prior collections experience preferred
- Commitment to excellent customer service
