We are seeking an experienced Electronics Technician with specialized knowledge in Surface-Mount Technology (SMT) to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will possess strong technical skills in the assembly, testing, troubleshooting, and maintenance of electronic components and systems, with a focus on SMT processes. This role requires attention to detail, problem-solving abilities, and the ability to work in a fast-paced, collaborative environment.
\n- SMT Assembly: Perform SMT assembly, soldering, and reflow soldering operations on printed circuit boards (PCBs) to ensure high-quality manufacturing standards.
- Testing and Troubleshooting: Use testing equipment and diagnostic tools to test, troubleshoot, and repair electronic systems and components, with an emphasis on SMT assemblies.
- Component Identification: Identify and handle electronic components, including capacitors, resistors, diodes, and ICs, in compliance with industry standards.
- Machine Operation: Operate and maintain SMT pick-and-place machines, reflow ovens, and other associated SMT production equipment.
- Quality Control: Inspect and verify the quality of assembled SMT PCBs, identifying defects, and ensuring compliance with quality standards and specifications.
- Documentation: Maintain accurate records of assembly, test procedures, and repairs performed. Complete detailed reports of findings, issues, and resolutions.
- Collaboration: Work closely with engineering and production teams to identify process improvements and implement corrective actions for production-related challenges.
- Inventory Management: Ensure proper inventory control of SMT components and materials, including ordering and restocking as needed.
- Safety Compliance: Follow established safety procedures and ensure a clean and organized work environment at all times.
- High School diploma or equivalent required.
- Associate’s degree in Electronics Technology or a related field is preferred.
- Minimum of 2-3 years of experience in SMT assembly and electronics manufacturing.
- Proficient in using SMT equipment, including pick-and-place machines, reflow ovens, and inspection tools.
- Strong experience with PCB soldering, rework, and troubleshooting.
