Maintenance Technician

The Tech performs a variety of work in the general maintenance and repair of building, facilities, and equipment.

Job Requirements

• Knowledge of construction methods/tools, i.e. ability to do math and read blueprints
• Working knowledge of repairing buildings/structures
• At least 21 years of age
• Valid driver's license and clean, current DMV printout
• Have and maintain OSHA certification as required
• Currently possess or can obtain all necessary cards/certification for position.
• Ability to stand for long periods
• Ability to work off ladders, handle equipment, operate power tools
• The ability to stand long periods of time, walk the property, climb stairs and ladder, bend and lift up to 100lbs. and push up to 150lbs., as needed
• Ability to work flexible hours

Job Responsibilities:

• Performs a variety of work in the maintenance and repair of buildings and grounds at various facilities including, carpentry, electrical, plumbing, painting, and ground maintenance.
• Repairs and treats structures such as floors, sinks, walls, roofs: performs minor troubleshooting, repair and adjustments of doors, cabinets, locks, shelves, chairs.
• Services appliances, prep area, and hooks up appliances.
• Reports mechanical malfunctions to appropriate party for repair.
• Moves furniture and equipment at various facilities/sites.
• Assists in obtaining quotes and arranging for services of outside vendors.
• Updates work logs for specific site requirements and maintain equipment logbooks
• Complete order forms to keep stock updated, Make material list for projects
• Assist other Techs with their projects as needed
• Respond to maintenance calls
• Responds to alarm calls during and after regular work hours
