What are the responsibilities and job description for the Contract | Litigation Paralegal position at Lawyers On Demand?

LOD is currently seeking several contract Litigation Paralegals for a hybrid assignment in Nashville, TN.


This role would start ASAP following an interview with LOD, an interview with the client, and selection. This is an open-ended assignment, as the need is ongoing.


The ideal candidate will be responsible for assisting attorneys in all stages of litigation matters. This candidate should feel comfortable conducting research, doing data entry, scheduling, maintaining case files, and completing other ad-hoc requests, as needed.


Responsibilities

  • Legal fact and basic legal research
  • Assist with case management
  • Organize and electronically file pleadings
  • Coordinate and schedule calendars


Qualifications


  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent
  • 2 years' as Litigation Legal Assistant or Paralegal
  • Ability to work overtime
  • Detail oriented, strong analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Impeccable written and verbal communication and interpersonal skills
  • Substantial knowledge of litigation processes and procedures
  • Ability to work with computerized databases and research tools.
  • Familiarity with Outlook, Word, Excel, SharePoint, and PowerPoint




LOD offers non-attorney flexible talent placement rates that range from $15 to $100 per hour depending upon experience level and specific skills requested by the client, the candidate’s general skill set, applicability of candidate skill set to client need, client budget, number of hours requested, and other factors. A specific rate of pay for a project will be discussed with you if it is determined that you are a potential fit for a role.
